Garage doors are large doors on a garage that opens either manually or by an electric garage motor. A Garage door is large enough to accommodate vehicles. Small garage doors may be made in a single panel that tilts up and back across the garage ceiling. Larger garage doors are usually made in several jointed panels that roll up on tracks across the garage ceiling, or into a roll above the doorway.
The operating mechanism of the garage door is spring-loaded or counterbalanced to offset the weight of the garage door and reduce the human or motor effort that is required to operate these garage doors. Less commonly, some doors slide or swing horizontally.
Doors can be categorize in two sizes.
1. Single
2. Double
Standard single sectional door size: Width 2440 mm x Height 2135 mm
Standard double sectional door size: Width 4880 mm x height 2135 mm
For sectional garage doors torsion or tension springs system is used.
